We are here to help you...
Eating Disorders are serious, potentially life threatening illnesses. They have biological, psychological, cultural and genetic components which make the treatment very complicated and sometimes entails a very long process. It is not a self help issue and specialized professional care is needed. For over 37 years, we have been providing services for the general, professional and eating disordered population concerning the issues associated with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and eating disorders not otherwise specified.
If you or a loved one has suffered with these illnesses, you know how devastating they are to one's general health, relationships, social and vocational functioning. One begins to feel so isolated, misunderstood and alone in this battle. No matter how long or short a time you or you family member has been affected by an eating disorder, we are here to help you improve your quality of life and move on to recovery.
We offer educational materials, support, referrals, and therapy groups a to help you with the challenges of recovery. Our support and therapy groups (which are professionally led) will introduce you to others who understand your plight and will provide a helping and insightful hand in the process of treatment and recovery. We are also a strong presence in advocacy for treatment and prevention of eating disorders with membership in national organizations dedicated to this purpose.
Special events are held throughout the year such as our Commemoration of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, workshops and presentations. Our Speakers Bureau will provide educational presentations for schools, colleges, organizations and in-service trainings for professionals.
Do not suffer alone. We are here to help!
